This film production course will enable you to explore the medium, developing your own filmmaking practice whilst acquiring the skills and advanced production techniques required to work professionally in the sector. It will help you to engage with ambitious ideas and develop them in to successful films, while exploring and critiquing all aspects of filmmaking production and industry. You will study at Knights Park campus, one of the leading art and design schools for learning, teaching and research in Europe. With an explicit ethos of thinking through making, the programme has access to some of the best workshop and technical facilities in the UK.
The programme currently operates several work experience placements in partnership, with award-winning schemes at key external organisations: The British Film Institute (the UK's national film centre), the Institute of Contemporary Arts, Film London, Film and Video Umbrella, Tate Film and Lux. The course is also a partner in the 'Stop Play Record' scheme, commissioning and producing student films for Channel 4 television. Projects and commissions are offered to students and supervised by industry professionals and staff. Find out more about our links with business and industry.
